Lorna Clarke

Specialising in Executive & Leadership Coaching; and Career Transition Coaching

Lorna is the founder of Exploring Human Potential.  She is a qualified and accredited executive and leadership coach with a background in senior leadership roles in professional services, start-ups and the third sector.

Lorna’s interest in coaching began in 2004 when she worked with an executive coach in the run-up to being promoted to director at Deloitte. This was instrumental in successfully leading the business through significant growth and change, including the eventual spin-out into a JV with a US firm. The coaching experience sparked her interest in human potential, what makes for great leadership and how we can lead authentically and sustainably.

Today Lorna works with remarkable people, from aspiring leaders to established CEOs across industries including transportation, banking, public sector, tech start-ups, and professional services. Areas of expertise include:

  • Increasing confidence and influence
  • Building resilience and managing stress
  • Developing and sustaining effective work relationships
  • Having a bigger impact as a leader
  • Navigating the transition to a new role or planning for a career shift

What people say

‘I had been in my first CEO role for a year when Lorna and I met and was struggling with daily imposter syndrome, leadership challenges, wanting to do the best job for my team and organisation but not really believing that I could. The confidence and self-belief I have gained in this time have made a huge difference to me both professionally and personally. I cannot stress enough how helpful and empowering I have found it working with Lorna.’ Medina Johnson - Chief Executive, IRISi

‘Lorna’s authenticity and genuine curiosity meant that our relationship was open and honest. She has an innate ability to help one find the mental space to actively work through the fog, reach a point of clarity and take action. I found her coaching style to be truly empowering. Thank you!’ Surgeon - Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust Hospital

To find out more

Lorna believes the coaching relationship is fundamental to what makes coaching work – with trust and honesty at heart. She views each person and their circumstances as unique and meets them ‘wherever they are’ professionally and personally.   The length, duration and frequency of the coaching is unique to each person, and this is discussed in the initial exploratory call.
