COMING HOME: MOVEMENT, YOGA NIDRA & SOUND

Leah Marshall

A multi-disciplinary experience to help you connect more deeply to the many layers of you; body, mind and spirit.

My intention is to help you find a way of softening into your own body and welcoming yourself home. We let go of self-criticism, expectations and comparing ourselves to others, to open things up to a new found sense of freedom.

Working with the body-mind through somatic yoga based movement, focused attention & directed breath, we cultivate inner awareness & a sense of embodiment. Paradoxically, the more embodied we are, the more able we are to connect with the less dense aspects of our being, our spirit.

You will then rest as I guide you through a yoga nidra- a guided conscious sleep practice. It is here that your conscious mind subsides, your nervous system is given the opportunity to regulate, the body can heal and the subconscious mind is gently nourished.

I will then play my gong, singing bowls and koshi chimes as you continue to rest and journey with the sonic vibrations.

There will be a short sharing circle to bring the session to a close, although this is completely optional, it can be really interesting to learn from each-others experiences.

We are mind and body creatures, we cannot isolate one aspect from the other. Working creatively with the needs of the body-mind, allows us to become more in tune with our true nature, that which lies beyond our conditioning and habitual behaviours. With regular practice, we are better able to access our internal resources, we begin to experience ourselves differently and this is reflected in our connection to and perception of our external world.

Please bring a yoga mat, blanket and pillow for yoga nidra, a water bottle, a sense of curiosity and anything else for your own comfort.

For this session, you will need to bring your own:

  • Yoga Mat
  • Cushion
  • Blanket
  • Refreshments

Unfortunately, we are unable to supply any of these for the foreseeable future.

Drop-ins can not be accommodated at this time so please book in advance.

Please note: The Isbourne operates a minimum number policy. This means that if our minimum number is not met 24 hours before the session is scheduled to run, then we reserve the right to cancel the session. If you have paid a set fee for the cancelled session, you will get a full refund. Donations are non-refundable. We, therefore, advise customers to secure their place as soon as possible to avoid any disappointment. The Isbourne’s minimum number policy is under the guidance of the tutor running the session. Thank you for your understanding.

As a wellbeing and educational charity, The Isbourne aims to make its courses and workshops accessible to all regardless of income. We have researched how other organisations fund their courses and come up with a three tier pricing system:

Supported rate: this fee is less than the Standard and allows anyone with financial challenges to still participate. You do not have to show proof, this is offered on trust. This price is limited to one per transaction.

Standard rate: this is how much we would like all participants to pay as it covers The Isbourne costs and supports the tutor.
Sponsor rate: this is a little more than the Standard fee and allows you to subsidise and support others who might not be able to pay the Standard fee.

You choose what tier of payment best suits you - no questions asked!
