One-to-one Yoga Therapy, Wellness Courses, Gentle and Chair-based Yoga Classes, Hatha and Slow Flow mat based Yoga Classes.
Ruth offers one-to-one Yoga Therapy sessions as well as yoga classes that prioritise well-being and adapting for the person. She trained as a yoga teacher, and then a yoga therapist, is registered with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and is a member of both the Yoga Therapy Association and Yoga Alliance Professionals. Her aim is to inspire clients and students first to experience a range of practices and then to gradually embed changes into their lives that improve their well-being.
Yoga therapy is a collaboration with each client, where they identify what they wish to resolve and together with Ruth, specific yoga practices are selected with written instructions provided. These may include physical, breath, or mindfulness practices to name a few. Clients are often surprised at the transformative power of small changes to lifestyle, posture, breathing and thinking patterns. Ruth has helped people recover from injury, adapt to health conditions, and develop mental health support skills (e.g. for stress and anxiety).
These same values of person-centred practice are brought into Ruth’s yoga classes, courses, and workshops. As well as mat-based classes, Ruth offers a variety of accessible yoga, including chair based. Her class sizes are small and provide a welcoming learning environment with a sense of play and discovery. Along with the effort is lightness, laughter, and time to relax!
