During a group Identity Constellations session, one person takes turns to be the subject whilst the others represent different parts of his or her psyche – for example, the internalised voice of the subject's mother or father, or their anger. The subject, who is in charge of the process, is supported by a facilitator who has a deep understanding of Relational Trauma (overt and covert abuse or manipulation) and Attachment Theory. Such sessions help heal those hidden aspects of ourselves that have held us back, and which are based in our early need for love and the imperative of survival.
