Stress is endemic in our current society and often caused by factors in the workplace such as conflict, too much work, inadequate resourcing and long hours. Stress may also be caused by financial or health worries, parenthood, urban pressure and conflict in one's immediate environment. If you are experiencing stress, learning techniques such as mindfulness, meditation, yoga, sound healing or taking up exercises such as yoga or dance can help promote wellbeing, calm and a greater sense of control over your life. In addition, mind techniques such as EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and hypnotherapy can equip you with creative ways to respond to stressful situations.
